We elucidate molecular mechanisms that are key for cellular homeostasis, with our initial effort on nuclear protein turnover by a novel ubiquitin-independent pathway: the midnolin-proteasome pathway.
We are a group of inclusive, curious, passionate, kind, supportive, collaborative, and resilient individuals who love and enjoy doing research that reveals the secrets of cells. Inquiries to join the lab are welcome from individuals who share similar values!
Postdoc candidates: please directly send Xin an email attaching your CV, contact info for three reference letters, and a one-paragraph personal statement describing research interests and motivation to join the lab. Candidates with prior biochemistry (protein purification from diverse systems, in vitro reconstitution), structure (cryo-EM), genetic screens, and mouse expertise are strongly encouraged to apply.
Graduate students: we welcome students from Harvard PhD programs (BBS, PiN, etc.) to rotate in the lab and discuss further about joining the lab. 1st year students, please directly contact Xin to chat about rotations!
Research assistants: please email Xin directly. Candidates need to obtain a bachelor degree prior to the start date.
Undergraduate students: we welcome undergraduate students who are genuinely interested in gaining research experience and contributing to projects to join the lab, please contact Xin directly. Summer students are encouraged as well, please apply via https://cellbio.hms.harvard.edu/education/undergraduate-education.
High school students: we also encourage high school students who are into biology to join the lab, contributing to the vibrant lab environment! Please email Xin directly.
